Don Kanak, Chairman

Don is based in Bellevue, WA. After getting degrees from UNC, Harvard Law School and Oxford, Don spent 5 years in strategy consulting, before moving to Asia, where he spent over 35 years, during which he led or chaired some of Asia’s largest international insurance and investment businesses, and also served in church and nonprofit leadership roles.

He served many years as an elder at Tokyo Union Church, and as a deacon and clerk of deacons at Hong Kong Union Church.  His nonprofit experience includes President and also Chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce of Japan, Chairman of the EU – ASEAN Business Council, and Chairman of the Prudence Foundation, among others

Seeing over and over, that exceptional servant leaders are key to the flourishing of all organizations, including churches, inspired PreachFor’s vision. Don and his wife Kumi have 3 children, and three grandchildren (with more on the way).

Greg Anderson, Ph.D.

Greg is a seasoned pastor with over 38 years serving in both the US (South Dakota and Ohio) and internationally, including Hong Kong and London. Greg received his undergraduate degree from Wheaton College, and holds graduate degrees from Princeton Theological Seminary (M.Div.), Yale (S.T.M. in Theology) and the University of Minnesota (Ph.D. in Communication Studies/Religious Studies).

Dr. Anderson serves as the Chair of Insight for Living UK and on the board of the Whole Institute. He has served has as Chair of the Evangelism Commission of the CCCU and on the Morrison Foundation and Habitat for Humanity England Board.

In 2004, he taught at Wheaton as a visiting assistant professor, where he restarted the debate program. He teaches Public Speaking, Evangelism, and Preparing for Ministry to undergraduates and Preaching to both undergraduate and graduate students in addition to his duties as graduate school Chaplain.

Greg has written extensively on C.S. Lewis as a communicator, preacher, and commentator, and is the recipient of multiple awards. He is a preacher and pastor at heart, however, and passionate about "communicating Christ and teaching others so to do.”

Greg and his wife of forty years, Holly have four adult children, and are proud grandparents of four glorious grandkids.

W. Walker Lewis

Walker Lewis retired after an exceptional and diverse business career as an entrepreneur founder/CEO, and as advisor and/or board member of some of the world’s largest companies. After graduating from Harvard University and working at the Boston Consulting Group, Walker founded Strategic Planning Associates (SPA) in 1972, which after expanding nationally and internationally was acquired by Marsh McLennan in 1989 and renamed Mercer Management Consulting, of which he served as Chairman 1989-91. Following that Walker held senior roles at Avon (President of North America), in investment banking (Dillion Reed and Kidder Peabody), until founding Devon Value Advisors in 1997. He has served on over 20 boards including Ameriprise Financial; Applied Predictive Technologies; London Fog Industries, Inc; Mrs. Fields; Owens Corning; Scientific Games; and Unilab Corporation. 

Walker is an avid reader of history, especially early American history. He has been a mentor to many, including some of America’s top CEOs, and considers it a joy to see talented young leaders grow, thrive, and lead fruitful lives, in career, in relationships and spiritually. He and his wife Ellen live in Sun Valley. They have three grown children and 4 grandchildren. 

Barry L. Stowe

Barry lives in Nashville, Tennessee. He has had an extensive business career in the insurance industry in North America and Asia, and leadership in non-profits. Between 2006 and 2018, he served on the board and the group executive committee of Prudential plc, holding concurrent CEO roles in Asia and the US at different times.  From 1995 to 2006, he held senior executive positions at American International Group (AIG), including serving as president of AIG Life Companies Accident & Health Worldwide. During his time in Asia, Barry served as Chairman of the Prudence Foundation and Chairman of Save the Children Hong Kong. He currently serves on the boards of Zurich Insurance Group, Ltd. and Zurich Insurance Company, Ltd. and as a senior adviser to McKinsey & Company. Barry is co-chair of the Retirement Income Institute in Washington, D.C., a member of the board of trustees and chair of the governance committee of Cheekwood Estate & Gardens in Nashville, and a member of the Tennessee Business Leadership Council. Barry has a Bachelor of Arts in politics and classical studies from Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee. He is a member of Woodmont Christian Church in Nashville and a father to three wonderful daughters.
